Walked in off the street with no prior knowledge other than I was hungry, thirsty and Google said it was open. Top notch spot right here.! Frequented by one of my favorite stoner metal bands Red Fang, (I'm fairly certain they filmed a video here.Food is top notch.! Bar and bartenders are top notch.!Atmosphere is like being at home, or at least at a friend's pub even though I knew no one.!Love it.! Will be going back.!
Great fish and chips with an awesome cheerful vibe. The beer selection is excellent. On popular days, don't go with limited time, as the place is quite popular, so service might not be instant. But it's definitely worth the wait.
Horse Brass is old Portland in the best way. You won't be surrounded by a bunch of kids. The average age on a Sunday afternoon is probably in the forties and that's just fine with me. People generally know how to talk quietly while they drink, as is the case in a proper English pub. So check it out, act your age, and enjoy yourself.
This is my first time here, and I was a little hesitant about British food as it's not usually considered top of the line. However, my preconceptions were wrong. The beer list is extensive, and the food was great. I had the banger dinner and sampled my friends' wide sampling.By far the most outstanding part was the MUSTARD! It was perfection. Just a touch of spicy perfectly balanced by sweet. Best mustard I've ever had in my life. Keep it up!
Old staple of Portland where the Christmas lights stay up pretty much year round! You know you can always get a pint and a shot! And you know you can always get a proper meal. Use the womens bathroom if u can get away with it , trust me
