A classic Portland eatery. A lot of the staff have been there for decades. If youre a vegetarian though pretty much one thing has been on the menu for 15 years: the mushroom risotto. If you dont want that or mashed potatoes or a light salad its good for a visit or two but thats about it. If you are a meat eater youll want to visit many times.
Always great. Love the waiter. Place is consistently better than the Raven & Rose up the street. When you pay this kind of money for a meal, you expect a better level of service.
Fond of this restaurant, have had some fine food & enjoy the bar & happy hour. However the food on Thanksgiving was a severe disappointment - very expensive and mediocre at best. The only interesting and tasty course was the appetizer. The service was as always quite good & knowledgeable - but not capable of balancing the poor quality of the food.
Always a fantastic meal, whether you get a full entree or a table full of appetizers. The service is very professional. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about everything they serve. The only drawback is that they're so good it's often too busy to get a seat, or even a place at the bar. Something usually opens up soon, so I don't let that keep me away.
Classic Portland pub atmosphere for lunch. Best open pastrami sandwich I've ever had. Great beer selection. Attentive staff. Or, you can try the dinner section with its white table cloths. Fancier. but the menu looked delicious.
