This is an amazing product!
After multiple emails and 2 plus years no cooler. I've tried to get a hold of a live person with no response. Email, facebook and even a written letter to the company has all gone unanswered. Disappointing to say the least. I have no idea if the cooler is good or not but I can say stay away from dealing with this company.
Edit: I have finally received my cooler after years of waiting and referring a someone else to get mine quicker. After seeing all the complaints about the battery being total crap, I've decided not to even open it. Im just going to sell it to recoup my losses. As of today, over 25,000 original backers have still not received their coolers. What Coolest needs to do is stop spending backer money on legal fees, stop buying expensive cars and going clubbing and such, be modest and stop making excuses. Sell off your assets. You took backer money from a successful Kickstarter project and you blew it all on unnecessary upgrades and personal gain. Theres no way we're going to let you save your profit margins by sacrificing everyone's hard earned money. Buckle up. The negative reviews, the legal consequences, and the infamy is coming hard and it won't stop until you've delivered every last cooler. Was an original backer of this product on Kickstarter and it's been 2 years and I still haven't received my cooler. Now I know how Kickstarter works and I realize that I'm merely one of this product's many investors but here are my issues:1) the owner added a bunch of costly upgrades to the cooler after we made our investments. This drove up the cost of each individual cooler from what we had actually backed and made it impossible to manufacture the coolers that we were promised. This is why tens of thousands of people still don't have their coolers yet even though the owner raised over $13 million.2) the owner has bought a new Porsche for himself, has been seen partying at high end clubs, and most of his friends and family all have the very same coolers that we don't have. I doubt they paid for them. He's off spending our money, living the high life while we wait years for a cooler that we should have gotten.3) the owner offered multiple ways we could help him make extra money to help fund the extra money needed to supply the original backers with their coolers. One method was to pay an extra $97 to cover the additional cost of the cooler. The other option was to refer a friend to buy one and they could use a code that was individualized to each backer. Both options would "guarantee" delivery within a month. Neither option was completely successful. I've heard of a few people that paid the extra $97 and never got their coolers and I, personally, referred a friend. My friend has already received their cooler but I have received no indication that my cooler is on its way anytime soon. That was a month ago. I've sent multiple emails to the company and commented on their Kickstarter page but I never hear back from the which brings me to my next complaint.4) they NEVER respond to their customers. I have yet to hear from them. No one has heard from them. We don't even know if this company really exists. It's like sasquatch. They absolutely refuse to respond to anyone trying to contact them. No company phone number either.5) we all paid the price it would cost for the coolers and then the owner came on and added a "shipping fee" to every backer after the project had been successful. It was a surprise charge that no one anticipated because it's not normal for Kickstarter projects to do that. Shipping is usually already included in the backing price. 6) the people who are getting their coolers are all complaining that the battery dies after 1-3 uses! So they finally deliver their product after years and it doesn't even work! Ha! And of course no one can get a hold of the company to actually get the issue resolved. This was the biggest scam in Kickstarter history and it has convinced many people, like myself, to never back another Kickstarter project again. Kickstarter is now hurting from this and it would behoove them to put pressure on the owner of Coolest to deliver quality products to his backers as quickly as possible. Worst company short of Comcast Xfinity.
