We have had three successful experiences working with Neil Kelly, in large part because of the efforts of Project Manager Tom Doberstein. Tom listens, understands, explains and is extremely conscientious. We would not hesitate to use Neil Kelly for future projects.
Neil Kelly have managed energy efficiency upgrades, plumbing and electrical for a dishwasher, and on a chimney demolition and installation of a gas fireplace. I've have been very pleased by the thoroughness of their quote, their cleanliness (inside and outside of the house) at the end of each workday, their clear communication about schedule, and of course the quality of the final product. I recommend them highly.
I am rating Neil Kelly Company 5 stars because from the first contact to the end of the project the communication and workmanship was excellent. This was my first experience with Neil Kelly, and with Brendan, who took on the job. Brendan clearly communicated what I could expect. He provided worse case and best case scenarios so that I could make an informed decision. His appraisal and estimate were thorough, and the home repair was done to satisfaction. I highly recommend Neil Kelly.
Brendan did an outstanding job not only on the contracted for work but in recognizing several needed additional repairs I hadn't discovered. His work was timely and the finished product was excellent. I would use him again and recommend him highly.
Karen (designer) walked my wife and I through the thorny thickets of re-doing an entire first floor. She is incredibly patient and knowledgable - we tested the limits of both :-)She spent a lot of time designing a backing area for our wood stove. This came out success beyond our expectations. My wife is SO happy that we listened to Karen's suggestions.We are both very happy about how things came together and look now that the remodel is complete.The project manager we worked with (Paul Louis) was incredible. Usually stopped by daily to check on things - if not, he would either call or text. We always knew the status of things.Workers showed when he said they would!!! He was clearly concerned with doing the right thing for us. While we covered the 'what' - he covered the 'how'. He had some work redone because it wasn't good enough -- I never noticed until he pointed out the problem.Absolutely would work with this team again. Neil Kelly is expensive but they do great work, stand behind it, and employ quality people.
