We had an absolutely smashing time here. There are fantastic facilities, plenty of entertainment (from boardgames to books), a fully kitted kitchen, and Ron - who is a wonderful and accommodating caretaker with 3 of the friendliest labradors!!
Nice social place. It's a hostel type set up multiple bedded rooms. Good size common room with board games and a DVD player. Kitchen is good. Only let down is the showers no consistency scalding or freezing. But that is being pathetic. I woul certainly use them again.
Very basic accomodation, great value for money for groups that only need place to rest and chill for the night. Showers can do work some work to make sure pressure is not lost. Spotless clean though
Good place, but very cold!Heats turn on just some hours the evening and the morning. (but not in the bathroom) so you have to keep your jacket all the time.Except that, it's a cool place for a trip with some friends to climb for example.
Well run place at the bottom of Portland Bill. Great facilities inc. Large kitchen, common room and lots of rooms accommodating various sized groups. A pub at the bottom of the road and some amazing views makes this a perfect place to stay for visiting climbers, divers and cyclists.Because this is a converted military building, some rooms have no windows. These blackout rooms give you a great nights sleep but can make you miss your alarm :)
