Wow! I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this place. It did not come up on my initial search for artisan jewelry shops in Portland. I was looking for a unique engagement ring by a local designer, something vintage or with a unique gemstone. Jewelry on 23rd has all that and more. I found something perfect by a New York deisner in the first 5 minutes of looking, but I couldnt resist trying on a bunch more because the variety of styles and gemstones was so wonderful. Joel was so friendly and encouraged my perusing with no pressure at all. He was truly interested in getting to know his customers, everyone that walked in the door, whether they were purchasing or just admiring his outstanding collection of jewelry. I will definitely be back!
Very cool jewelry from Africa to Asia. He really has lot's of history behind the jewelry. Good place and people.
Great selection and service
We only had time on this short visit to go to one bead store, so I chose Ritual Adornments and i was not disappointed. The store has a large and varied selection at good prices, especially my favorite, African Trade beads. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable, everything I need to become a repeat customer. I have been collecting beads for over 30 years, this is my favorite store in Portland!
I wandered into the store one day a few months ago and have been going in frequently ever since. The selection of beads are beautiful, and every person that works there has always been super friendly and willing to help me out with ideas and projects! I urge all my friends to go because it's a fun and easy day out on 23rd and the environment of the store is so refreshing. I love this place.
