Level of education provided by JATC Aria 1 it's just a bare minimum required by State. Very "pro-emploer" and "we will show the students who is in charge" attitude by administration. Director acts as if you owe her your life. Most of instructors don't care about students, however, some of them are really good and make sure students not just pass weekly tests, but understand the material and know how to use it in field. 2 stars to administration, 3 to most instructors and 5+ to some of the instructors. I wouldn't change school if at list half of instructors would be like Jack Manor, how ever, he is the only one to get 10 stars and uplift the whole school to a 4 star level.
Electrical is a great trade and the JATC is a nice facility. There can be some fairly rude people working there but Chelsea at the desk has been a warm and friendly hard working addition to it's HR of which there is none. If you want to be an electrician the payoff can be great but there's a sacrifice in the beginning which is usually the case for anything good.
Most of the instructors are knowledgeable and good at teaching. The administration blows! Very rude and always trying to kick you out for the smallest offense.!!!
A joke of an apprenticeship program that neglects college transcripts over high school transcripts. I was turned down despite acing their math aptitude test and having over 1300 on the job hours from previous electrical contractors all because I was missing my high school transcripts(dont degreed college transcripts override that..?). If thats the case, you think they would have the decency to notify you of that concern but no. Their pooled cheaper labor system is a hack to unionized labor that most would want in the electrical trade to guarantee longevity in their career. Its an equal opportunity playing field for sure that eats into unionized labors market share.
Terrible school system. They dont follow the national electrical school system either so if competing in the national wire off is something you want to do, too bad. And yes, the office staff are horrible. The head lady always has a mean look and it shines through every time she speaks to anyone. The front desk lady however, sweetest woman ever.
