The worst customer/patient service I've experienced at any dental or medical facility. They don't know how to run an office and blame the patient for their mistakes. Inexcusably bad. Avoid this location. They refused to clean my teeth and then marked that they did it in the records. They misquoted my copay and blamed me for not knowing the amount due. The hygienist was rude, disrespectful and patronizing and has no business working in any patient facing medical/dental role. They scheduled my appointment wrong and caused me to miss work unnecessarily. Very poor business administration.I switched to the Tigard Willamette office and had no problems since. The Tigard location rescued the Willamette Dental brand in my eyes and is the only reason I didn't drop my insurance.
It was by far the best experience I had going to the dentist. They got me in the day of trying to make an appointment, the entire staff was incredibly compassionate and friendly, and their service was thorough and prompt. I couldn't have asked for more
Don't go here unless you're OK with mandatory X-rays. I politely declined what I think was an unnecessary set of X-rays of my teeth, and was told they would not clean my teeth unless I consented to have my teeth X-rayed. (I have no tooth decay issues, take good care of my teeth, it had been just 4 years since my last set.) Afterward, no one showed them to me and explained anything about them. It was not at all clear that anyone had even looked at the x-rays they took--I can only assume they are only doing it to check a box.Full disclosure: I had part of my thyroid surgically removed--biopsy results inconclusive (not cancer, not benign either). This is why I decline unnecessary x-rays to that part of my body. Filed a complaint with the Oregon Board of Dentistry against the dentist, Amy Pruett.I had been going there for about 7 years, and my first couple of visits were just passable, the next 4 were great, most recent visit was poor.Note: the guy with the tattoos mentioned in an earlier review is excellent! Can't believe someone living in Portland would be surprised by that!?We originally chose Willamette because they were the cheapest plan, and they seemed competent. My family and I are changing plans at the earliest opportunity. If you can afford it, choose a different plan.Quick update: just noticed the owner response made it sound like someone would call to talk to "address my concerns." Someone did call, but did not bring up their policy on x-rays. Changed to one star based on their misinformation.
Dr Pruett and Dr Kim are amazing! Made me feel very comfortable. Dr Kim called me on his day off to check on me when he noticed I had been seen as an emergent pt. Truly great and caring providers. Will happily recommend them to everyone asking.
Five stars and two thumbs up to Dr. Ken and his staff. I've been treated by Willamette Dental twice in two years requiring four office visits, each time the office visit went well and was easier than expected and the work done was done very well. Dr. Ken removed a fragile tooth in without breaking it , the anesthesiologist knew how to administer the injections without pain, staff and dentists took good care of me even though I can be difficult patient, I ask many questions that took time to answer.
