My favorite breakfast place in Portland. I had sauteed vegetables with poached eggs on top. Everything is fresh and flavorful. If you left breakfast this is definitely the place you have to come to. Service is excellent.
Great breakfast spot! The german pancake was fantastic! Cute old cafe style spot that is obviously well liked! I can see why. Great service, great food, great coffee!! Breakfast covered!
01/12/18: 4.5 out 5 - Today, my running group decided for Zell's. This place usually is great with service and food for us. Today, our waitress was very accommodating and not intrusive. The other service staff were great, as well. The food was wonderful. We ordered more off the Specials than the normal menu, and the Kobo's coffee was good to go. We'll be coming back for more.Definitely suggest trying it once and decide for yourself. Enjoy!
Yummy, yummy!!! Shared the "german" pancake with the rhubarb and pear topping and the salmon Benedict. Great flavor! Went in a weekday and was seated right away. Great coffee with milk alternatives. Would go back
Great mix of classic brunch choices, local faves, and seasonal board specials. Scones, often still warm from the oven, are served with chilled jam while you wait to order. Everything is tasty, fresh, and well prepared. I've had fifteen different items from the menu, a dozen different specials and have enjoyed them all. Service is fast and efficient, too. I've had 5+ coffee refills on numerous visits, you won't go waiting with an empty cup long. This all means that the cozy place is packed on weekends. Worth the wait.
