Fun for Grandpa and the kids too! We liked trying out the quill and ink most. We're planning on coming back for the family mornings every month. There is free parking thats a little hard to spot with the crowded PCC lots; we asked at the museum front desk and they showed us where to find the parking on the side of the museum.
I had a great time visiting the museum. Despite being a native Oregonian, I had very little knowledge of the Kalapuya prior to visiting the museum and found the exhibits very illuminating. I enjoyed looking at the artifacts the museum had on display, although I wish they were more clearly labeled. All in all, definitely worth a visit. Lovely staff as well.
The museum has lost their way and are no longer a staple in the community. New direction has taken this once great museum to an all time low. The new location is difficult to find parking and much smaller than the previous Hillsboro location. Hopefully they return to their old ways if being about the community.
No parking, old building, and lack of direction makes this museum best left in the past.
Great place to learn about local history!
