I love every Nordstrom store. This one is great for its downtown feel, especially with the high end boutique stores inside.
Dont shop at the Chanel store inside the Nordstrom downtown. Worst customer service!I was lied to by the sales person when I went in there to purchase my wife a Chanel classic bag for Christmas. I asked her that if this wasnt the right bag, can my wife return it? She said yes she can return it as long as she doesnt wear it. Once my wife saw the bag she loved it of course but it wasnt the right size. So, when she went back to return it a few days ago, they almost refused, and made her feel horrible. The tag was not attached to the bag which was the reason they didnt want to return it. I purchased this bag with the tag detached. My wife did not take the tag off - she hardly touched the bag because she knew she would be returning it - this is not our first high end purchase. The sales person had to of taken off the tag while she was wrapping it up for me so this way it wouldnt be refundable. Scam, she obviously only cared about the sale - not customer satisfaction. The manager on shift that night had to check this return and approve it - he wasnt nice to my wife and made her feel very uncomfortable like she was doing something wrong. Thankfully they ended up returning it after my wife had to argue with them ($6,700 purchase). Check your purchases before you leave the Chanel store.
I purchased a pair of slacks there and a seam was coming undone. I stopped in to drop off for alterations and the gal at the counter ran them up to alterations, waited while they fixed them and ran them right back down to me. I was all set in about 5 minutes! And at a busy time of the year. Awesome!
This was not my favorite Nordstrom. And I have been to plenty! We spent the weekend in Pdx and the weather was gorgeous, so we decided to park and venture. I knew there was a big sale on this particular weekend, and was excited about my tax free shopping spree. I entered at the location where the designer label was and went right into the Gucci section. I was interested in a jacket and wanted some service. The associated that worked that brand completely ignored us, but kept a close eye. There was zero customer care and they did not get my money that day. No greeting and no goodbye. The 2 Stars is for my daughter's purchase and customer service upstairs.
Beautiful place. Busy place. But no time to greet people. Must be. At all times. No matter who. Priority... customers... I walk in with $1000. Cash in my pocket but nobody assist me so I go back home, happy. I don't wear nice clothes to express people. Be friendly to whoever walk through your way. Santa Claus on the 3rd floor was happy. I'll give him a 5 star....
