I had the best experience as a Jewish person at this community. Rabbi Truzman was the warmest , most humble and intriguing Rabbi I have ever met. I did Pesach service and dinner at his house. The community is warm , friendly and diverse. Sadly, I ended up moving to North Carolina or else I would have became a permanent member of this community. I have family that lives in Portland, Oregon, so every time I come to visit I will definitely come to Beit Yosef for all my Jewish services. I also love the Moroccan customs that the Rabbi has and really would love to learn more of the cultural and spiritual pratices. I'm sure Rabbi Truzman is a wealth of information. Despite being mostly Ashkenazi (with some Bukharian roots), I feel very connected to the minhag of the Sefardim and Mizrachim. In addition to a very warm, friendly and tight-knit community, I do love the customs and cultural practices of this community as well.

Friendly. Comfortable to wide variety of people. Sefardi traditional, but many attendees are not.
