I was amazed that they were playing 80's music and all the young-ins knew the songs and were dancing. I guess we went on a good night. There were about 6 of us and we got one of the booths available. Drinks were a bit pricey, but it is a club in Portland, so I wouldn't expect anything less. There was a DJ and lots of people there. Not really my scene but the music the night we went was worth it.
Dress code says no teams outside of Oregon because it's gang affiliated. but if it is an Oregon team it's somehow not gang related....logic
Ridiculously long line OUTSIDE in the rain/cold. Interesting crowd... good if you like some throwback music. Not necessarily a good fit for all ages as recommended by friends. Long waits for drinks and super crowded inside. It was a Saturday night, so crowded was expected. Womens bathroom was well directed by attendant, BUT the ventilation was awful and there was no door to the restroom... pretty awkward. They need renovation. Otherwise, all is well. Still a fun spot to go, maybe on a less crowded night when you dont have to wait in line for an hour.
This place is alright... was debating on 3 or 4 stars... its set up for a younger crowd, but I guess anyone can come. Its got a 90s theme with the decor, drinks, and music (think Tang, cassettes, and Fugees). I mean... the DJ was just okay when we went. It wasnt a threatening nightclub, though youll always find guys on the prowl in any of them. Drinks were a bit overpriced for the size. It looks small until they open up the other side later at night (so youll have 2 bars). Looks like they have a reserved area if you want one. I think they have an outdoor patio. Ladies get in free before 10 I think. Not sure if Id go back. Maybe if the music was more dancy?
Veterans listen! I liked this club because of the music that they play and that they let vets in for free. Everything changed when I simply used the bathroom. While using the urinal I saw an array of medicines and cologne available on the counter. I saw some antacid tabs and decided to have one. I finished, washed my hands and as I was exiting some big guy that was sitting in the corner stood up and blocked me from the exit. He said, "How much are those antacids you just took?". I said, "A dollar at the dollar store". He said, "This ain't the dollar store, you better pay me for those antacids." I took a step back and said, "what". He immediately said, "Security to the bathroom" in a portable radio. Three security guards showed up within seconds. He verbatim told them the story exactly as it happened. They looked at me and said, "So you either pay the man or we escort you out of the club". They wanted me to pay for a single antacid tab that was on the counter with no signs or inkling that it would cost me any money. I said "I'm not paying for a single antacid tab from a box that cost a dollar and is on the counter of a club I paid to be at". They said, "sorry that's how it works here", and escorted me out of the bathroom. My girlfriend was out there waiting and they escorted both of us out to the street. Once we got to the street I spoke with the bouncer and explained that I didn't do anything but say "what" to the guy in the bathroom and he said, "sorry, I don't make the rules" then walked away. This is completely crazy to charge someone access to a club then kick them out because they don't immediately pay for things that openly look free of charge on the counter in the bathroom with no signs that indicate otherwise. A complete scam and should not be legal.
