First you have to change your legal name, then you have to change your photo ID, then you have to get proof of that to your bank and wait for them to issue new cards. They were extremely gross to me about it, claiming I wasn't who I said I was, etc. All I wanted was to buy $5 of snacks.
Quick stop by from the Chinese Gardens for some emergency supplies. Prices are marked up high considerably, even for a convenience store. Got what we needed with minimal fuss.
