Taking off for LA and Disneyland for my anniversary and I wanted to get my hair colored before I ran out I got an all over blonde highlight . The color tone from back to front was not blended the whole process took 3 1/2 hours my head still burns pretty bad . By the end of the process my hair had blue in it she said the toner would help so I buy Redken bondage for blonde washed my hair about five times now and my hair is now orange. Honestly for how much it cost to do all over highlights and then a tip on top of it to leave a salon with blue hair after 3 1/2 hours with no desired results is disappointed in the lease to say and just annoying I am now currently traveling to LA by car with orange hair so I have to go pay for a stylist other fix it which theyre probably not going to recommend dying my hair sense of the dama honestly for how much it cost to do all over highlights and then a tip on top of it to leave a salon with blue hair after 3 1/2 hours with no desired results is disappointed in the lease to say and just annoying I am now currently traveling to LA by car with orange hair so I have to go pay for a stylist other fix it which theyre probably not going to recommend dying my hair sense of the damage And get a haircut which I cant even imagine how much thats gonna cost me in the middle of LA I will be calling in very soon
tl;dr In my 20 years of getting my hair colored, I have never had an experience as unprofessional and awful as this. Stay far, far away from this place, at least stay away from Arianna.Here it goes:I recently moved to Portland and in search of a new hairstylist in my new town came across GBest. The reviews were good and so I made an appointment with Arianna. I plan my week around the hair appt, arrive, and sit in the chair only to be greeted with, "you have a lot of hair, it's going to be extra". I then explain what I'd like, a few light brown or blond highlights that don't look stripe-y and don't look brassy, and I show her some photos of various styles for inspiration. She then proceeds to explain that because I have dark dye still left in my hair, it's going to take toner and a stronger bleach to cut through. I get it, I've been dying my hair for 20 years and have been everything from black hair to platinum blonde and back again. I agree and say "ok let's do what we can". She then proceeds to passive aggressively talk me out of it by explaining how many extra charges there are going to be on top of the highlights price as she looks passively annoyed off in the distance when I finally say, "are you saying I shouldn't do this? Should I just do a single process dark brown again like I had before?". She looks at me and says, "yeah". At this point I'm wondering if she's incompetent, lazy, or if my previous experiences getting my hair done were some kind of figment of my imagination. We agree on a single process color and she walks away. I sit in my chair, disappointed enough that I was literally changing my plans for my hair color on a whim because I didn't have time to make another appointment this week, and had been looking forward to fresh hair all week. Five minutes pass and she walks back and says "so yeah, we don't have the dark brown color". What hair salon and colorists don't carry DARK BROWN? It's clear to me she's simply not going to do my hair at all that night and I just entirely wasted my evening planning around this. I got up out of my chair and said, "I guess you're saying you can't do my hair?". "Not tonight at least", she says. Not tonight? Not ever. If making time for a hair appt is tough for you, if you schedule your hair appointments before important events so you look your best, stay away from G Best. The name is ironic for sure.
