We don't live around Portland anymore, so I don't get a chance to visit this temple to pastry paradise as frequently as I wish. I was asked by an acquaintance for a name of good bakery in Portland, I send her to St. Honor and she loved it and brought me home a Saint Honor pastry as a reward. Even after a day in the car it was perfect This place is worth the trip to Portland from Tacoma.
Absolutely amazing food. Plenty of pastry options. Brioche bread is fantastic and I highly recommend it! The line wasn't too bad for a Saturday and the customer service was great.
Very high quality pastries for a very high price. While their pastries are really great, their bread is definitely not. For example their great looking cereal bread, for some unknown reason, has a very sour taste. Their coffee is on a little bit bitter side. Nevertheless this place is popular with a show off crowds. Oh, and the restroom code is 4590
It's always busy, but the staff moves quickly and they're super friendly and helpful. The prices are fairly reasonable for what you get...which is amazing bread, pastries, and delicacies. Will definitely come back again and again!
I stumbled upon this little bakery while on the way to another appointment. My stepdaughter and I decided to try it since we needed a little mid morning pick me up. So happy we went in. The smell of fresh baked goods and coffee instantly electrify your senses. The menu is a diverse selection of pastries and other baked goods, along with other prepared foods such as soups, croissant sandwiches, and quiches. The portions are large and very filling. We also tried an apple tart for good measure, and it was not a disappointment. The best part though, they were so patient with my stepdaughter. This is her visit to Portland from GA, so she is full of questions and wonder at some of the things out here she doesn't see or have access to back home. We sat at the bar area so she could watch the bakers, and they explained the process to her, were very nice, and even let her have some of her own dough to experiment with (no fear, this was not baked!). All in all, a pleasant experience. Highly recommend making a visit to this delicious and friendly neighborhood bakery.
